The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) offer a range of grant supports for Solar PV, battery storage & EV home chargers.

Byrne Energy is a registered SEAI Solar PV Company and supports homeowners through every step along the grant application and payment process.

 

Solar PV Grant

The SEAI grant support for Solar PV is available to all owners of dwellings built and occupied before 2021 and where SEAI have not previously provided support for solar PV system at that address.

The solar PV grant available from SEAI is €800 per kWp up to 2kWp and €250 for every additional kWp up to 4kWp.

For example;

  • 2kWp solar PV system can receive grant support of €1,600 for solar PV (~5 panels)

  • 3kWp solar PV system can receive grant support of €1,850 for solar PV (~7 panels)

  • 4kWp solar PV system can receive grant support of €2,100 for solar PV (10 panels +)

Total grant available capped at €2,100

Electric Vehicle Charger Grant

A government funded support scheme to assist homeowners install an electric vehicle charge point on their property. The scheme provides a grant up to the value of €300 towards the purchase and installation of a home charger unit. The applicant must be the owner of a new or second-hand electric vehicle (EV).

Commercial Grant

The grant amount you receive is based on the standard output of your solar PV system. A solar PV system with an output of a maximum 1,000kWp can be grant funded through the scheme. If the system installed is larger than 1,000kWp, then the applicant may apply for the maximum grant offering of €162,600* and this is available for systems from 1kWp to a maximum of 1,000kWp.
